The United Nations Association of Australia Young Professionals Queensland work to promote the values and goals of the UN. We are currently looking for excellent applicants to fill two positions on our team. All positions are voluntary although it is expected that agreed to timeframes are kept as we are a working committee.

1. Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the YP
Network across Queensland. In this role, the individual will be responsible for
recruitment activities, establishing and improving collaboration, and working with the
local team to provide operational guidance and direction. The role will also be
responsible for liaising with the National Operations Executive and collaborating with
other operations officers in the YP Network across the country.
Manage Queensland YP Network Operations and provide foundational support to ensure continuous improvement of the committee structure;
Manage all recruitment activities (including on-boarding, off-boarding and performance evaluations) and ensure all Portfolios are adequately resourced and supported;
On-boarding: Induction Starter Kit of Policies and Volunteer Handbook to be shared along with the creation of UNAA email accounts for all new committee members;
Maintain membership database and develop membership attraction strategies;
Liaise with the YP National Operations Executive and collaborate with Operations Officers in other States and Territories on a quarterly basis;
Collaborate with the Queensland Secretary to create Professional Development workshops for the committee;
Maintain and ensure all Position Descriptions are up to date and develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.
The Committee Secretary is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of YP Network in Queensland. In this role, the individual will be responsible for secretariat duties, supporting recruitment activities, improving internal communications and volunteer management.
Preparing minutes and agendas;
Tracking committee-approved timelines and decisions;
Organising and attending all local team committee meetings;
Managing appropriate forums for internal communications;
Managing the committee collaboration drives (i.e. Google drive);
Liaising with the YP National Secretary;
Collaborating with Secretaries in other States and Territories;
Collaborating and sharing knowledge with other YP teams within the Network.
